Albert Dede
Albert Dede is a PhD in Computer Engineering candidate at Kwame Nkrumah University of
Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana, where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s
degrees. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, particularly machine learning and computer
vision for high-resolution image analysis. His current work aims to improve the efficiency of
processing gigapixel histopathology images, with potential impacts on cancer diagnostics and
pathology services in Ghana.
As a PhD researcher at the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Lab, Albert contributes to
developing ethical and explainable AI models for the good of society. He has experience as a
teaching assistant in various computer engineering courses and has published research articles in
reputable journals. Albert is an active member of IEEE and he participates in international AI
conferences and workshops to further his expertise in the field
