Dickson Marfo Fosu is an MPhil researcher with the Department of Telecommunications Engineering and the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Lab (RAIL). He also serves as a junior field officer on the Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development (AI4SD) project, where his research explores the transformative role of AI for Sustainable Development.

He has successfully defended his MPhil research, which focuses on designing an AI-enhanced proactive scaling framework tailored to the demands of next-generation 5G/6G and IoT networks. By enabling adaptive and resource-efficient scaling, his research contributes to building networks that meet modern digital infrastructure’s real-time challenges.

As a researcher of the Responsible AI Lab, Dickson has benefited from mentorship, funding, and exposure through prestigious platforms such as the Paris Peace Forum 2025, IndabaX Ghana, and other global and local engagements. These opportunities have deepened his passion for examining AI’s ethical and societal implications, leading to several publications on AI and society.

Known for his dedication as both a researcher and innovator, Dickson’s contributions at RAIL further the lab’s mission of promoting responsible, inclusive, and Africa-centred AI, effectively bridging advanced technology with the real-world needs of society.
