RAIL in collaboration with RAIN-Africa, the Department of Sociology and Social Work, and the Faculty of Law will work to provide innovative solutions to the ethical use of AI. This theme will promote efforts to ensure that all project designs will receive the approval of Institutional Review Boards of the partner Universities before the projects are implemented to ensure it meets ethical standards. Activities in the thematic area will also ensure that all faculty and students will be encouraged to take up courses like, Artificial Intelligence & Human Subjects, Technology Ethics and Regulations, Gender Based Analysis Plus for the purpose of enhancing their knowledge on compliance to ethical research and its linkages to addressing intersectionality of identities.
