Dr Emmanuel Ahene holds a PhD in Computer Science and Technology from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, with research interests spanning machine learning and cybersecurity. With almost four years of dedicated research experience in machine learning, he is the principal investigator for the sign-to-text-speech project dubbed SignTalk. This innovative initiative, focused on digital inclusion, aims to develop a communication platform that bridges the gap for individuals with speech and hearing impairments, providing them with essential communication tools. In addition to SignTalk, he leads the Deep Learning for Food Sustainability project, which applies advanced AI techniques to enhance agricultural practices and promote sustainability. My role as Co-Principal Investigator for the MESTI mHealth Project further demonstrates my commitment to leveraging technology for social good, as we work to improve healthcare access for underserved communities through mobile health innovations. |
