Mathew Cobbinah
Matthew Cobbinah is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Engineering at KNUST-Kumasi. He holds a BSc and an MPhil in Information Technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
His research focuses on Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Diffusion Models, Vision Transformers, and medical image-to-image translation. Currently, he is working on enhancing mode diversity and structural fidelity in cycle-based GANs for CT-MRI translation through robust loss functions and architectural modifications.
Matthew has presented his research at academic conferences and continues to explore innovative approaches to generative modeling. In addition to his research, he is actively involved in mentoring students in machine learning, computer vision, and artificial intelligence.
