Mrs Betty Adjei Kponyo
Betty Agyei Kponyo (Mrs.) is a Senior Administrative Assistant at the College of Science, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
She holds a Master’s degree in Disability, Rehabilitation and Development. Betty is interested in understanding environmental barriers’ psychological and economic effects on individuals with disabilities. She is passionate about research that aims at identifying effective strategies for mitigating such challenges. Her research at the postgraduate level focused on the impact of caregiving on the general well-being of primary caregivers of children living with cerebral palsy.
Betty is the Research Lead for Investigating the Usage and Uptake of Existing Assistive Technologies in Ghana, under the Inclusive and Responsible AI theme of the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Lab (RAIL) project. She is a committed researcher with a focus on the intersection of disability studies and the socio-economic development of society.
